OPUS PLASMA TREATMENT

An innovative, first-of-its-kind radiofrequency skin resurfacing technology using PLASMA to improve skin tone, texture, wrinkles & fine lines, scars, acne scars, & stretch marks!

WHY OPUS PLASMA?

Opus Plasma builds upon the popular and widely accepted science of fractional skin resurfacing and advances this field forward with an option that improves the patient experience using a novel, new energy source — Plasma. With Opus Plasma you can enjoy fractional skin resurfacing results with much less downtime.

Opus Plasma can be used to treat concerns like body scaring, stretch marks, facial rejuvenation, skin tightening, superficial pigment, dull skin, large pores and more!

LOVE LASER? TRY PLASMA!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Opus is a Hybrid RF + Plasma device. It uses RF energy to penetrate into the dermal layer, stimulating fibroblast activity. Fibroblasts control the formation of new collagen and elastin in the skin, creating a tightening and thickening effect. At the same time, the specialized tip on the Opus causes the RF energy to react with Nitrogen in the air, creating a plasma spark. The fractionated plasma spark creates a small, controlled injury on the skin and forces a wound healing response. The result is smoothing and brightening of the epidermal layer of skin.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Opus Plasma is an optimal outpatient treatment usually performed following application of a topical anesthetic. During your consultation your practitioner will assess your skin to personalize the best treatment plan for you. While you'll begin to enjoy noticeable improvements following your first treatment, 3 or more treatments may be recommended for optimal results. Resurfacing results can be seen in 2 weeks, with best results seen 90 days post treatment.

We recommended starting with a package of 3 treatments, done once a month.

IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?

Depending on your treatment plan, the degree of discomfort will vary. Topical anesthetic may be recommended by your practitioner to numb the treatment area prior to the treatment to minimize any discomfort. Oral Journavx is also an option to help minimize any pain.

WHAT DOES RECOVERY LOOK LIKE?

This too will depend on the your treatment plan recommended by your practitioner. A clinical study has shown that Opus Plasma required 50% less downtime when compared to a fractional skin resurfacing technology using a laser. When using moderate settings, the downtime is minimal. You may experience 24 to 48 hours of mild to moderate redness and swelling — not significant to interfere with your daily activities. Typically, we recommend up to 3 days of downtime for most treatments.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE?

Opus Plasma was developed to be a versatile tool for your practitioner to address a wide demographic of patients of different age groups, skin types and skin concerns. Your practitioner can dial the energy up or down to personalize the right treatment plan for your needs.
